Overview

This Data & Cookie Policy supplements the Privacy Policy. It describes the specific categories of data Trivet Software LLC handles in operating the Site, the cookies and local-storage items the Site may set, and how you can adjust your preferences. If anything here conflicts with the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy controls.

Data categories

We organize data into the following categories:

Category Examples Purpose
Technical IP address, user-agent, referrer, request URL, timestamp Security, diagnostics, abuse prevention
Correspondence Email address, message contents, attachments Responding to inquiries and keeping business records
Preferences Theme selection, reading-preference flags Remembering how you prefer the Site to look
Aggregate Total page-view counts, referrer summaries Understanding which pages are useful

We do not currently collect health information, financial-account information, precise geolocation, or biometric data through the Site.

Cookies we use

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Below is a full list of the cookies and equivalent browser-storage items the Site may set. Where possible we prefer localStorage to cookies because it stays in your browser and is not transmitted to the server.

Name Type Purpose Duration
trivet-tweaks localStorage Stores non-identifying visual preferences such as theme (light / dark) and font family. Until you clear it
Session / log data Server-side Retained by our hosting provider for basic security and diagnostics. Not used to identify individuals. Short operational window

The Site does not set advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.

Third-party services

The Site currently relies on the following third-party services, each of which processes the minimum data necessary to perform its function:

Where applicable, we select providers that publish their own transparent privacy and security practices. We do not currently use analytics services that profile individual visitors.

Your choices & controls

Blocking essential storage items will not prevent you from reading the Site, but it may cause your preferences to be forgotten between visits.

Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

Because the Site does not engage in cross-site tracking or sell personal information, "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals do not trigger additional changes in behavior — the protections those signals seek are already our default. If our practices change, we will update this section accordingly.

Mobile application data

Our mobile applications may collect additional categories of data beyond what the Site collects — for example, account information, device identifiers, crash reports, or content you choose to sync. Any such collection will be disclosed in the App's store listing and in-App privacy notice, and will be governed by the principles set out here and in the Privacy Policy: collect only what is necessary, disclose what is collected, and give you meaningful controls.

Updates

We may update this Data & Cookie Policy from time to time. The effective date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the Site.
