Privacy Policy.
How Trivet Software LLC collects, uses, and safeguards personal information.
Introduction
Trivet Software LLC ("Trivet Software," "we," "our," or "us") is an independent software studio. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information in connection with our website and our mobile applications.
We value plain language. Where a term carries a specific legal meaning, we have tried to explain it in context rather than relying on jargon.
Scope
This Policy applies to information collected through trivetsoftware.com and related subdomains (the "Site") and through the mobile applications we publish (each, an "App"). A specific App may publish its own privacy notice to describe practices unique to that App; where such a notice conflicts with this Policy, the App-specific notice prevails for that App.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need. The categories below describe what may be collected in the ordinary course of operating the Site and corresponding with visitors.
Information you provide directly
- Correspondence. When you email support@trivetsoftware.com, we receive the contents of your message, your email address, and any information you choose to include.
- Voluntary submissions. If we add forms to the Site in the future (for example, to request early access to a product), we will collect only the fields clearly marked on the form.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider may record standard web-server information including IP address, user-agent, referrer, requested URL, and timestamp. These logs are used for security and diagnostics.
- Cookies and similar technologies. The Site uses a small number of cookies to remember site preferences. See the Data & Cookie Policy for details and controls.
- App diagnostics. Our mobile applications may collect crash reports, performance metrics, and basic device information (such as device model and operating system version) through the platform's built-in developer tools, solely to diagnose and fix issues.
Information we do not collect
- We do not currently use third-party advertising, behavioral tracking, or cross-site profiling on the Site.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How we use information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
- To operate and maintain the Site;
- To respond to inquiries and provide support;
- To diagnose technical problems and protect against abuse;
- To comply with legal obligations; and
- To communicate updates about Trivet Software, only where you have asked to receive them.
We do not use personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about any individual.
Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Server logs are retained for a short operational window. Correspondence is retained for as long as it remains useful to the ongoing conversation or our business records.
Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is entirely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Request deletion of your personal information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Request a portable copy of your information; and
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, please email support@trivetsoftware.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will acknowledge your request within seven days and respond substantively within thirty days, as described in our Support page. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
International users
If you access the Site or our Apps from outside the United States, please be aware that information we collect may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
